Good Morning, Possums and Happy Monday. Time to kick off the first full work week in 2024. The weekend sure did fly by, except for the time period where I was forced to pretend I was a can of crescent rolls stuffed in a tube (MRI) for two and a half hours. Time stood still or at least it seemed to come to a halt.
Yesterday I was a bit of a slug but I’m OK with that because this week has going to be quite busy. Today I have my appointment with the best neurologist (my opinion) in the world. Normally, I would be nervous - not knowing what the results are of my MRI. I have the results - I have for two days, but I don’t speak ‘doctor’ so I have to wait for her to explain them to me.
If the scans show that I am stable - no disease progression - that’s great and we continue this course of treatment. However, if they show progression - more demyelination and new or enhanced lesions, well, that comes with an entirely new treatment plan. I will have broken through four treatment protocols and I am running out of treatment options.
I remain hopeful. I am in the best of care no matter what and I have lots to look forward to. For starters, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Reunion starts on Tuesday. I know- it’s total trash TV but soooooooo entertaining.
This evening, I have a podcast meeting with everyone; all cohosts as well as our correspondents. Immediately after that meeting is a tenth anniversary concert of “Fun Home” - one of my most favorite Broadway musicals starring Judy Kuhn. So yes, I will be watching that. So, busy Monday!
