My Life with Multiple Sclerosis 030122

Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Tuesday, March 1.

No birthdays on my calendar today.

Well, it's March 1 and February 2022 is just a whisper. Also, today is Fat Tuesday and the day before Ash Wednesday and Lent begins. Lots to think about and consider if you practice/observe the Lenten season. Do you give something up? Do you take something on? Do you do both or nothing at all?

Lent is an homage to Jesus's 40 days spent fasting in the desert in preparation for his ministry on Earth. The purpose of observing Lent is for Christians to prepare for the coming of Easter by getting closer to God and repenting of sins.

Fasting, or giving something up, is a very common practice during Lent. The idea is that giving up something that’s a regular part of life, like eating dessert or scrolling through Facebook, can be a reminder of Jesus’ sacrifice. That time given up can also be replaced with more time connecting with God.

How will you approach and observe Ash Wednesday and the Lenten season?

It’s going to be a partly cloudy, warm day in Dallas today. Nothing too terribly exciting on my calendar today either - just a few meetings at work and a Board meeting this evening.

What do you have planned today?

Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:

...wear a mask when appropriate
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.

Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
