My Life with Multiple Sclerosis 030222

Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Wednesday, March 2.

Happy Birthday to:

Allen Treadway
Deiadra Burns
Eryn Ball
Mary Ann Gilbert
Matthew Creed
Tim Streeter

Happy Hump Day! We made it half way through the week. And it’s Ash Wednesday. No doubt you may see many people with ashes on their foreheads throughout the day.

The ashes symbolize two main things: death and repentance. Ashes are equivalent to dust, and human flesh is composed of dust or clay and when a human corpse decomposes, it returns to dust or ash. When we receive ashes on Ash Wednesday, we are saying that we are sorry for our sins, and that we want to use the season of Lent to correct our behavior.

If you are looking for an Ash Wednesday service to attend, come join us at 12pm or 7pm at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church (or online on Facebook Live). All are welcome at OLUMC.

It’s going to be sunny day with a high of 75 degrees. I have a day full of meetings and a trip to church for Ash Wednesday Service.

I can tell it’s about time for some new plasma. The plasma currently in my body is staging a revolt but I can keep it at bay until Friday. However, my hands and legs actually feel like normal hands and legs today. That hasn’t happened in a few years. Walking is still a bit of an issue, but it’s nice to feel ‘normal’ again - no matter how long it lasts.

What do you have planned today?

Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:

...wear a mask when appropriate
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.

Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
