Good Morning, Possums and Happy Thursday and Happy Friday Eve. It’s almost the weekend and almost time for me to head home for the holiday.
NYC -Day 3 - On Saturday, day 3, we all slept in a bit - 7am. It was sunny and chilly and we had a full day ahead.
First, we headed to Radio City Music Hall fr brunch with the Rockettes (AKA Eggs and Legs). If you have never been to Radio City Music Hall, it is enormous. It was nicely decorated and filled with Holiday cheer. Families from all over entered the hall and were escorted to their seats.
If you weren’t filled with he holiday spirit beforehand, you were by the time the show ended. It was a great show and I cannot believe I have never been before. Sadly, a fight broke out in the back and continued out in the lobby. Someone ‘disrespected’ someone else. It was quite disturbing.
Once the show was over, we headed to lunch. Adrienne Mckeown met us here and spent the afternoon with us. It was so nice to see a face from home and catch up with her. She may become the new Political Correspondent on our podcast. Stay tuned.
We walked around the city and looked at the city. The holidays were wrapped over anything that stood still and people were taking pictures left and right.
The afternoon flew by and soon it was time for Adrienne to leave. We said our goodbyes and headed back to the hotel to freshen up for or last show, Shucked, the musical. Getting to Shucked was an adventure. Traffic was awful and the crowds on the street were just as bad. But we did it. However, I may have suffered a little PTSD once the adventure was over.
At all the theaters, I had my own entrance and bypassed the lines. And so did anyone with me. This did not suck one bit. Score one for the disabled.
We made it to our seats and soon, the show. It was all about corn and filled with corn jokes and puns and it was funny - corny even. The songs were good and the actors knew what to do and when to do it in order to get the laugh from the audience. It was a delightful, funny show - a little edgy at times, but I highly recommend this show if it comes to/near your town. Any PTSD I had was gone and forgotten after the show.
Day 3 in NYC gets 5 Stars.
My MRI yesterday was torture and I hated it but it is over now. Now we wait for the results. Today I have PLEX this afternoon. Time for some fresh, frozen plasma. After that, maybe a cocktail with some friends - gonna play that one by ear.
