Good Morning, Possums and Happy Friday and Happy weekend. It’s been a busy week and I’m flying home tomorrow for the holidays.
NYC -Day 4 - On Sunday, day 4, well, it rained all day but we still had things to do and people to see. We had lunch at a nice little tavern, David Burke Tavern, with some friends from Missouri who also happened to be there for the weekend. Their son proposed to his girlfriend/fiance (she said yes) so it
was great to see them.
After lunch we met up with Roger’s niece and nephew and spent the rest of the afternoon with them; chatting and having a few cocktails and then a pasta dinner (I forget them name of the restaurant).
Once dinner was done, we said our goodbyes and headed back to the hotel to start packing up for our journey home the next morning. One the way, we got one last look at all of the lights, decorations and holiday music the Big Apple had to offer. It was a little bit of magic (aside from the horn-honking, crazy driving and cussing…to be clear, I was the one cussing).
Day 4 gets 5 stars. NYC is the best!
