Good Morning, Possums. It’s a gloomy day in Big D - another great day to stay inside under a warm blanket, throw something in the crockpot and binge-watch something. We have already reached our high temperature for the day. They drop from here on.
Today is also Veterans Day. Veterans Day on November 11th honors military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. The federal holiday coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which marks World War I. These observances reflect the end of significant hostilities at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the Armistice with Germany took effect. Initially, the United States observed Armistice Day as well. However, it evolved into the current Veterans Day in 1954.
Today is also the first day on my leave from work. Time to focus on my me and my health. Currently, I feel like my body has betrayed me a bit since I cannot have my chemotherapy on Monday, but I will get over it. However, I WILL get my botox in my legs Monday afternoon. I am counting on that botox alleviating the tightness currently making things difficult…and this colder weather is not helping!
I saw "My Fair Lady” last night. The leads were great. While it was a fairly decent broadway touring production, the sound was a little off. I couldn’t tell if the actors had microphones or not. If they didn't, they needed them and if they did, the sound engineer was smoking crack because they were not nearly loud enough because a lot was missed and I was on the second row AND MS has NOT affected my hearing at all.
