Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Friday, April 15. It’s going to be a partly cloudy day in Big D with a high of 83.
No birthdays on my calendar today.
Today is Good Friday! Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week and it is the Friday before Easter.
Good Friday is the most solemn day of the year for Christians. Do not let Good Friday go by as just any other day of the year. This is the day when we remember Christ’s death on the cross for us. We remember the suffering He endured for our sake and we are reminded of the depths of His love for us.
So Happy Friday! Happy FriYAY! TGIF! Happy Good Friday!
Yesterday was great - nothing but work, meetings and a board meeting in the evening. NO HOSPITALS involved.
Today is a little different - meetings from 9am-12am and then back to the hospital for round #3 of 5 (or 6 - that’s TBD) of PLEX (plasma exchange). I am hopeful that today will not be as painful (or painful at all) and lengthy as Wednesday was. That was just flat out awful. Either way, I plan on celebrating the ease or the ending of today’s PLEX with a cocktail if I am not completely exhausted…and then probably 8 hours of sleep. I still do not understand why that procedure is so draining.
My neurologist continues to check on me, provide me with what I need and makes me feel like I am a priority. My last neurologist once told me I was keeping her from her lunch. She didn’t have MS so I guess it didn’t matter that much (just a guess on my part). Either way - a big difference in customer service / bedside manner.
I still choose to believe that it was a blessing the MS Clinic at Baylor was closed (abruptly) and I landed at UT Southwestern.
What’s on your schedule today / this Easter weekend?
Anyhoozle, I wish you all a SPECTACULAR day. Make it a great day and do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. Be one of them! And as always:
...wear a mask (when appropriate)
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
