On January 4th, National Missouri Day recognizes the 24th state to join the union. Also known as the gateway to the West, Missouri is bordered by two great rivers. The Mississippi River is on its eastern border, while a portion of the Missouri River is on the western border. The state of Missouri has the nickname Show Me State.
Missouri boasts many cultural attractions from riverboat cruises to music festivals to tours of the largest brewing company in the nation. A few names you might recognize are Daniel Boone, Laura Ingles Wilder, Kit Carson, William Clark, Walt Disney, Scott Joplin, and Joseph Pulitzer. For a short time, all of these famous people made Missouri their home.
Happy National Missouri Day!
It’s a chilly, Tuesday morning in Dallas today but it will be sunny with a high of 60 - better than the cold and wind on Sunday.
My PLEX (plasma exchange) went well yesterday - no issues. Four down, one more to go and then it is weekly (every Friday) for a bit. That time can be adjusted as necessary. I am grateful that there is a painless process which removes the hateful antibodies from my blood enables me to walk and use my legs. I suppose a tiny hole in my chest with a few tubes and wires coming out is a small price to pay - LOL.
I begin physical therapy today. I got a call yesterday evening from my physical therapist from last fall. She drew the short straw and will be my PT again. That’s a good thing. She is very good.
What’s on your schedule today?
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
