My Life with Multiple Sclerosis 010522

Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Wednesday, January 5.

No birthdays on my calendar today.

January is the beginning of a new year and the perfect time to start the year celebrating National Blood Donor Month. Due to increased seasonal illnesses during the winter months and inclement weather conditions, donations of blood and platelets decline, and demand increases.

The American Red Ross and Blood Banks of America encourage everyone can donate to continue their donations. Blood donation is safer than ever before and saves lives. Millions of people including cancer patients, organ recipients, and victims of accidents; rely on blood donations from people like you and me…..well, not me any more.

I have been receiving plasma almost every week since June 17, 2021. Plasma is the colorless / fluid part of blood and I am eternally grateful for the person / people who donate the blood / plasma I receive every week. It keeps me going.

Consider donating your blood / plasma and Happy National National Blood Donor Month!

Happy Hump Day! We made it half way through the first week of the new year! It’s a chilly, Wednesday morning in Dallas today but the sun will be out all day and things will warm up a bit.

Physical therapy went well yesterday. I am nearly back to my baseline, I just need a little help getting there. I am heading to the UT Southwestern Spa and Resort in a few hours for my PLEX (plasma exchange) #5 of 5. From here on I go every Friday (but not this Friday) until my neurologist says to stop. Just a few meetings later this afternoon. January is starting to get busy.

What’s on your schedule today?

Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:

...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.

Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
