Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Monday, January 3.
Happy Birthday to:
Today is National Thank God It’s Monday Day which encourages us to celebrate the first Monday of the new year with vigor and energy.
#1 - I am fairly certain that I have never uttered the words, “Thank God It’s Monday” and
#2 - When my alarm went off this morning and the radio personality said, “It’s the first Monday of 2022” I’m pretty sure I told him to bite me. Obviously, I’m not a morning person.
Regardless, HAPPY NATIONAL IT’S MONDAY DAY and Happy 2022.
Time to kick off another year and work week and in Big D, IT’S COLD.
Like many people. I will be scheduling / attending meetings via Teams and reading email that has collected in my inbox since early December.
Around noon, I will be heading to the UT Southwestern Spa and Resort for plasma exchange #4 of 5. I have to finish up what I would be getting if I was still in the hospital. Physical therapy starts again tomorrow. They will be coming to me again. It just amazes me (and also pisses me off) what a tiny little lesion in your body can do to your entire way of life. But I am sure something similar can be said about many diseases.
Starting from square one and learning to do things in a different way every day have become the norm. For instance, I may have to make / get coffee a different way each day. My mind or my feet may not do what I tell them to do. So I have to figure out how to do it a different way……or go to Starbuck’s - LOL
I do not see my neurologist until early March so I will have to wait until then to discuss a new treatment plan / options. Until then, it’s plasma exchange every Friday afternoon and business as usual.
THANK YOU to everyone for your well wishes, thoughts, prayers, calls, texts, emails, messenger notes and smoke signals I have received over the past week. I really do appreciate it. I spent yesterday relaxing and away from social media, but I am back.
I am ready to take on 2022 and get my MS under control. It’s really starting to piss me off.
What’s on your schedule today?
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
