A Day in the Life of Multiple Sclerosis 092121

Good Morning from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Tuesday, September 21. Happy National IT Professionals Day.
Happy Birthday to:
Annually on the third Tuesday in September, National IT Professionals Day honors the venerable geeks of the world we all rely on to keep us connected.
The IT (information technology) professional is the unsung hero of modern business. These under-appreciated wizards tackle the obstacles that leave the rest of us scratching our heads. Whether it is desktops, laptops, mobile devices, applications, servers, networks, databases or cybersecurity, IT professionals keep business humming. However, there is often a lack of understanding by business leaders and end-users of the important role they play and the difficulties and complexities associated with IT.
While they’re often solving computer and network issues, they also have a knack for developing and creating. Their insight into the technical universe brings numerous opportunities to individuals and businesses alike.
You Go, IT peeps! Today is your day!

Well, I ended up not getting Botox yesterday. There are a few hurdles I need to jump through first. Instead, I had to go through a series of tests - strength, flexibility, walking - to best determine where the Botox will go. I will be getting injections my calf and my hamstring; starting with my left leg. We have to do this one leg at a time. After that, I’ll get it every three months.
I go back in three weeks, I will be sedated, get the Botox treatment then and take it from there.
Another positive thing has happened. For the past year and a half, every time I looked down - dropped my chin to my chest - I would get an uncomfortable sensation that traveled from my neck down my spine. I can only describe it as an electrical shock or buzzing sensation. For me, it felt like an electric current was running up my spine and through my arms - like I could shoot electricity from hands. It doesn’t hurt, it’s just very uncomfortable and it’s called Lhermitte’s - very common among people with MS.
Well - just like the mind-numbing ringing I have had in my left ear for the last year,, it’s gone. I no longer have it. I didn’t realize it until yesterday because until then, I have intentionally avoided dropping my head down.
I am not sure why these things have happened, but I am not going to question it. I will be thankful and pray good stuff continues to happen and my body will continue to repair itself as much as possible.
So - enough of that. I have got a day full of meetings and a lot of work to do. What do you have planned today?
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
