Good Morning from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Happy Monday, September 20, and Happy National Pepperoni Pizza Day.
Happy Birthday to:
Laurie Reed Campbell
Leigh Sherer Boyd
Michael Galvin
On September 20th, Pepperoni Pizza Day recognizes the most popular pizza ever created. The day celebrates the pizza enjoyed by young and old alike.
While pizza comes with many different toppings, pepperoni is the single most popular pizza. Whether you like your pizza Chicago Style or New York Style, thin and crispy or deep dish, top it with pepperoni! Personally, I think thin and crispy is the way to go.
Fun Fact: According to legend, Raffaele Esposito created the first pizza in June of 1889. The Queen of Italy, Margherita of Savoy, inspired the pizza maker so much, he created the pie-shaped delicacy. In the queen’s honor, he named it Pizza Margherita and topped the pizza with tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella. The colors represent the Italian flag.
Who knew?
It’s Monday morning and time to kick off another work week and this week, Summer will officially be coming to an end. There is a sad, pitiful chance of rain today (I’m ready for a good rainy day). The sun will be out shining at full force - it may even hit 100 degrees today. It is kind of late in the season for 100 - thanks global warming.
Yesterday, I went to the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was beautiful, creative and quite relaxing. We sat through it twice. If you get a chance to go, I highly recommend it.
Today does not look too, terribly busy (with meetings) so I hope to get a lot of work done. I have physical therapy this morning and this afternoon, I will be heading to UT Southwestern for BOTOX….in my legs. It is supposed to help with spasticity. I will let you know. I am a little anxious about needles in my legs, but if it helps me walk better, then have at it. Right now, it feels like my legs are two steel beams.
So - what do you have planned today?
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
