Good Morning from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Happy Sunday, September 19, and Happy National Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Happy Birthday to:
Talk Like a Pirate Day sails away annually on September 19th. As you are out and about on September 19th, don’t be surprised if people are saying, “AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGH,” “Ahoy Matie,” “Avast,” “Aye, Aye Capt’n,” “Land ho!” and many other pirate-like phrases. I probably won't, but some people might.
Nah - I probably will until it gets old and then I'll move on to something else.
Another warm, sunny day in Dallas today. I will be watching church online this morning. This afternoon, I am going put on my mask / gloves and go to the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit / Experience with my friends. I have been looking forward to this for a long time.
Something exciting happened yesterday. I sincerely doubt it is my treatment working because my treatment is not supposed to do anything like this - but for the last 16 months, I have had a constant, mind-numbing, skull-crushing ringing in my left ear 24/7. It drives me absolutely crazy. It is a result of nerve damage caused by my Multiple Sclerosis. I can block it out with music most of the time but somedays it just makes me insane.
Yesterday afternoon, when I was at the Boardroom getting beard trimmed and head shaved, I realized it was gone. And it is still gone this morning.
I do not know what is going on in my body (although I am more aware of things happening inside me now than I ever have been before), but I hope this ‘healing’ continues. I am praying for that big time.
So - what do you have planned today?
Come join us for church this morning at 11am at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church (or online on Facebook Live). All are welcome at OLUMC.
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
