Good Morning from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. HappySaturday, September 18, and Happy National Cheeseburger Day.
Happy Birthday to:
National Cheeseburger Day on September 18th honors America’s favorite sandwich with a slice of cheese.
There are many theories to the beginning of the cheeseburger dating back to the 1920s. One story suggests that Lionel Sternberger invented the cheeseburger in 1926 while working at his father’s Pasadena, California sandwich shop, The Rite Spot. During an experiment, he dropped a slice of American cheese on a sizzling hamburger.
The Humpty Dumpty Drive-In in Denver, CO has the bragging rights for the trademark they received in 1935 for the name “cheeseburger.” Regardless, the cheeseburger checks all the marks for satisfying a craving and the cheeseburger isn’t going anywhere!
Ain’t nothing wrong with a cheeseburger and some hot crispy fries. Personally, I think either the Angry Dog down in Deep Ellum has the best burger in Dallas. If you haven’t been, give it a try.
The nausea from my MS treatment is still present but very minimal - not anything like it has been all week. I am anxious to see what it is going to do - so now we wait.
Not much going on today - just another sunny day in Big D.
So - what do you have planned today?
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day / weekend and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
