A Day in the Life of Multiple Sclerosis 091221

Good Morning from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Happy Sunday, September 12 and Happy National Day of Encouragement.

Happy Birthday to:
September 12th recognizes the National Day of Encouragement each year. This day is dedicated to uplifting people around us and making a positive impact.
Encouragement is free. It never costs us anything to say a few words to inspire a student, coworker, or friend. Even a reassuring word to a stranger may make a difference in their lives.
Encouragement lifts someone when they are down. It also motivates a person who has an eye on a goal. When we have failed or been unsuccessful, the right words remind us to keep trying. The right message may create a spark that changes a someone’s perspective.
Sometimes, the act of noticing a job well done improves someone’s day. Developing a habit of recognizing emerging talents motivates us to speak up and offer a kind word or helpful tip. It is a practice worth having to improve relationships at work, at home, and in the world around us.
Happy National Day of Encouragement!

It’s a going to be a sunny, warm day in Big D today. The last few days have been very nice. I have even ventured outside for a brief respite from work. No rain today but our chances are increasing this week - and they aren’t pitiful - and that makes me happy - LOL.
I ventured out for a little bit yesterday and I was surprised to see that hardly anyone was wearing a mask - except for me. I just don’t get it. I mean, I know I HAVE TO - and I don’t expect the world to revolve around me (most days), but vaccinated or not - COVID isn’t over. Maybe I am missing something or maybe I am too paranoid.
Today I have church, a church board meeting and I need to polish up a few courses for work before we launch our final wave of compliance training to the company tomorrow. My team at work is nothing short of amazing and we have all worked our butts off to get this ready to go tomorrow.
I am starting Round 2 of my treatment today. My last dose is on Thursday. I am not looking forward to it, but I am looking forward to Thursday and finishing the last dose - LOL. After I finish the Mavenclad treatment, my next procedure is…..are you ready……I am getting BOTOX. However, I am NOT getting it in my face where I need it. I am getting botox in my legs. It is supposed to help with spasticity. That procedure is a week from tomorrow. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Leigh Sherer Boyd - I am getting botox for your birthday. LOL
What do you have planned today?
Come join us for church this morning at 11am at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church (or online on Facebook Live). All are welcome at OLUMC.
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
