A Day in the Life of Multiple Sclerosis 091121

Good Morning from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Happy Saturday, September 11. Today is also Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Happy Birthday to:
Patriot Day on September 11th honors the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent victims who died in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Each year, we (Americans) dedicate this day to remembering those who died and the first responders who risked their own lives to save others.
For many, September 11, 2001, began like any other weekday. We made our way to work. Children attended school. We shopped, had coffee, waited in line at a drive-thru. Those of us who weren’t in New York City heard the first reports on the radio or television. A friend or neighbor alerted us to a plane flying into one of the Twin Towers. We felt disbelief. An accident, perhaps, a miscalculation. Then, a second plane flew into the second tower. Our disbelief turned into uncertainty and concern.
Those on the ground faced terror and obstacles they had never known. But, then, as a set of coordinated suicide attacks organized by the militant group Al Qaeda targeted the World Trade Center, the rest of the nation witnessed the unbelievable. And then a third plane crashed into The Pentagon. And yet another crashed into a field in Shanksville, PA.
Every year since that fateful day, the United States comes together to remember the fallen. We remember the first responders and those who made difficult decisions.

It’s going to be another warm, sunny day in Big D today. I came home and crashed after my plasma exchange yesterday I tell you what - painless as it is, that process just wipes me out.
Shout out to Christopher Longoria for coming to sit with me and taking me home.
I did, however, manage to watch “Come From Away’. I am sure that will be the first of many times I watch it. There have only been 4 shows that have unfrozen my heart and moved me to tears:
Wicked - when Elphaba and Glinda sing “For Good”
An American in Paris - the entire show is just so beautiful
Fun Home - when Judy Kuhn sings the gut-wrenching “Days and Days…and…
Come From Away - every single time - it’s just so moving
Every single time….it moves me to tears.
Nothing on my schedule today - maybe a little work to polish up a work project and a planning meeting for a fundraiser we are having in October. I need to get out today because I begin Round 2 of my treatment and I will be home-bound for a few days.
What do you have planned today?
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
