Good Morning, Possums and Happy Sunday. It’s time to prepare for another work week. And to elect a new leader for a very divided country. I am mentally preparing for the worst - not in terms of which candidate gets elected, but the fallout from the losing side. Perhaps there will not be a great deal of over-the-top theatrics, but who can say?
October has come and gone - rather quickly - and the Holidays are fast-approaching. Just a few days ago Thanksgiving and Christmas were nipping at our heels, but I think Tuesday, November 5 has put a hard stop on any approaching festivities until a victor is declared.
My time has been spent on a few things - getting my insurance switched from COBRA to BCBS and getting referrals to see all my “specialty” doctors, searching for my social security back pay (I think it’s somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle), but the thing that has stuck with me most, and thing I have spent time churning and churning in my head is the cause of death for actress Teri Garr - Multiple Sclerosis.
Up until I read about her death, I have always been told Multiple Sclerosis will not kill you, but it can make your life somewhat more difficult. That’s putting it nicely, when in fact, not being able to accomplish the simplest of tasks some days pisses you off to no end. This is something I can attest to.
I have never seen those words printed or heard that before- cause of death, multiple sclerosis, so obviously (and because I have OCD about certain things) I decided to start researching. But then I remembered when I was first diagnosed almost 6 years ago. I did the same thing - I hit the internet (which is exactly what I didn’t need to do).
The internet, while useful for some things, doesn’t contain the answers I need, but my neurologist does. So I emailed her and asked her to put ’Teri Garr’ only list of things to discuss at my next appointment on January 13 - just 3 days before I head to NYC for some much needed theatrical, cocktail and friendship therapy.
It is out of my mid until then.
While our NYC schedule is quite full, we have discussed adding a matinee to our current list of shows depending on the reviews which will come out on November 15. That show is, “Tammy Faye, the musical”. Yes, a musical about Tammy Faye (Baker) Messner. The glamour, the camp, the costumes, the mascara-tear-stained face - how could I not see that? Plus it all happened 15 miles from where I grew up and went to college. Stay tuned…
My allergic reactions are off the chart. My head is stuffy and I have had laryngitis since last Wednesday. So no insurance calls until I can speak again. Actually, no phone calls at all until I can speak.
Podcast Season Two, Episode 7 is out and available for your consumption (to download or to view on Youtube). We are off election week but will return with a new show the week of November 11.
A few dates to keep in mind:
Veterans Day - 8 Days
Thanksgiving Day - 25 Days
Hanukkah -52 days
Christmas Day - 52 Days
Kwanzaa -52 Days
New Years Day 2025 - 60 Days
No kankles today. My feet still look normal.
Anyhoozle, that’s all I have for today, Possums. What’s on your calendar? I hope you all have a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one!
To all of my fellow MS Warriors, keep fighting the good fight.
And to all MS Warrior Supporters, Thank You! Your support means everything.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, Possums! Coming to you from the Celebrity Suites of the Wyndemere at Turtle Creek Condominiums ...
My mother battled multiple sclerosis (ms) disease for about 7 years. Searching for a more natural approach to add to her current regimen, we have been using various alternative methods, and she still experienced difficulty walking despite what Western medicine practitioners predicted. Nothing seemed to work until I found this website www multivitamincare. org. They said that the doctor has power over difficulty walking disease, so I contacted them via email , and I received responses immediately. After receiving the herbal remedies, my mother used them as instructed. Within seven weeks, my mom went back to her doctor, who informed her that she was completely cured of MS. I never thought this herbal medicine would work, but based on the online testimonies about this doctor curing many diseases, I decided to contact him happily. You can also reach out to them if you have any health problem or disease via www. multivitamincare .org. ( wwwmultivitamincare@gmail.com )
