Good Morning, Possums and Happy Monday. Time to kick off a new work week.
The population the Dallas/Fort With Metroplex has grown by half a million people this week, It’s my understanding that the impending eclipse has drawn people to town. It is rather exciting. I hope everyone got their eclipse sunglasses and are ready for the show. I just hope the clouds don’t deny us the opportunity to see everything.
Last week, I said I had six days of stuff - well I was wrong, make it 11 days of stuff, I have more appointments and meetings and a few social activities thrown in the mix this week as well.
The Resource Center fundraiser on Saturday night was a lot of fun. Everyone was dressed up - the glitz and glamour was on full display as we walked the red carpet into the event.
Yesterday evening, we ventured to the AT&T Performing Arts Center for an evening with Kristin Chenoweth which was absolutely wonderful. It’s hard to believe that a voice that big can come out of someone so petite - absolutely stunning. An added plus, she has ‘perfect pitch’ so 99.9% of the noted she sings are on key! LOL
This week is filled with recording episode #10 of our podcast, a visit with the ‘vein’ doctor to check my legs, physical/occupational therapy, plasma exchange, a musical on Thursday (part of our season package) - and on Saturday, the MS Walk for a cure. I have a team of around 10 or so walking with me (plus all the other hundreds of people at the walk). I also have a whole neighborhood (plus some extended friends and family) walking for me back home in South Carolina. They fill me with love and give me strength year round.
So, another busy week - I better get cracking!
