Good Morning, Possums and Happy Saturday and Happy Weekend. I hope everyone had a great work week and now you can enjoy the weekend.
Well, today is the day I have been dreading for almost a month. My MRI do-over is this morning. My MRI with no medicinal assistance (by choice) is today. I realize I am doing this to myself but I want my neurologist to have a clear picture of what is happening in my brain (nothing has been happening up here for quite some time) and my spinal cord. Still, I’d rather give myself a barium enema than be shoved in that god-awful machine lucid and unmedicated.
I got up and showered and dressed all by myself (cuz I’m all growed up), My assist will be here shortly to fix my brekky, make up the bed and start the laundry - all before we head to the hospital for my Saturday morning torture session.
I have some friends ‘on call’ (when it’s over) to talk me down off the ledge if necessary. And I have a watering hole all picked out afterwards for a little watering down. I deserve some watering down after being stuffed in that horrible machine for two and a half hours.
Fortunately, I will not have to wait long for my results. I have an appointment with my neurologist Monday morning. So, in two days, I will find out if there has been any disease progression or if we are holding steady. I tell you what - shingles screwed everything up. Thank goodness mine are almost gone.
