Coming to you from the Celebrity Neighborhood of Creekwood in York, South Carolina. Today is Friday, December 22. It’s going to be a beautiful, mostly sunny day with a high of 58.

Good Morning, Possums and Happy Friday. I hope your week has gone well. Hopefully (if you are not already on vaycay) you can sneak out a little early today because the weekend has arrived - and not just any weekend, but Christmas weekend filed with frantic shoppers, frustrated travelers, crowded airports -but also, cooking, eating, wrapping gifts, carolers, holiday lights, friends and family. Oh, and Santa Claus (who tends to overshadow the birth of Jesus occasionally) they are both important in different ways.
Rumor has it that Jesus was actually born in the summer and his birthday was moved. After a little research (google), the real reason for the selection of Dec. 25 seems to have been that it is exactly nine months after March 25, the traditional date of Jesus' crucifixion. As Christians developed the theological idea that Jesus was conceived and crucified on the same date, they set the date of his birth nine months later.
I have to thank the Google for that information.
I have two gifts yet to arrive - just stocking stuffers - they should arrive today or tomorrow.
Today, I am our building our podcast website and then we have a dinner to attend this evening - so a relaxing day!
