Good Morning, Possums and Happy Friday Eve. I hope your week has been going well. Things are good here in the Jones Household. Today is the first (and probably only) day we have nothing planned. The thought of staying in my jammies and watching horrible Christmas movies has crossed my mind, but I’m afraid I would get bored.

I slept nearly five hours last night. These steroids are working overtime to both get me well and drive me crazy.

My shingles are nearly gone. There is one spot that is taking its time healing. I know, I’ve said this before, but (check with your Doctor first) but go get your shingles shot. I have had these horrible things for nearly four months and I do not wish them on anyone (currently).

However, I cannot complain. The television is overrun with commercials from Scottish Rite, Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s, St. Jude and homeless veterans. And all of that is just heart-wrenching. Kids should not get sick; especially with cancer, tumors, and all of that mess. They should’t be put through multiple surgeries, radiation and chemo. I only had five rounds of chemo and that was awful. I can’t imagine a kid going through all that. Also, our veterans should not be homeless and not taken care of.

It’s just a reminder that while I do have multiple sclerosis (in case you didn’t know), I have a home, I am surrounded by people who love me (in SC and inTX) and…well I could go on and on, but I won’t. You get the point. Be thankful. Be considerate. Be hopeful. Be Helpful. Be Supportive. Be Kind.

I know there is always someone worse off the I am, and I hate that. That shouldn’t make me feel better, even though sometimes I may want it to.

Thankfulness. Consideration. Hopefulness. Helpfulness. Support. Kindness. All of those are free.
