Hellooooooooooooooo, Possuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuums!

Good Morning, Possums. From the Celebrity Suites of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas, Happy Saturday and Happy weekend!
It’s been a busy couple of days but very productive. I met with my neurologist on Thursday. I got some good news from her:
- definitely no more chemo - all done with that.
- no more PLEX (plasma exchange) either - for the time being. Holding off on that to let the new treatment continue build up in my system. However, if things (start to) go side ways, I can start it back up.
- no more weekly trips to the hospital.
- next MRI is in Mid-March.
- I will remain on steroids for the foreseeable future.
The MRI in March will give my neurologist more of a picture of this secondary yet-to-be-named neurological auto-immune disorder that continues to mimic Multiple Sclerosis and make things more challenging for me and the people around me.
Yesterday (Friday), I had occupational therapy. This was more difficult that I thought. Most things I can do with no issues, just a little slower than usual. But with a little work, I will get back up to speed.
Occupational therapy was followed by physical therapy. This one was the gut-punch. While my legs are working better than they have in probably a year, I am still working towards my baseline. I have a way to go. I can get there, but, again, it’s going to take a great deal of work.
I did get a letter from my doctor that I may return to work after next week, but with a few suggested / requested stipulations since the medicine I take completely suppresses my immune system.
This just in: Kankle Watch 2023. I still have two normal looking feet (that are in need of a pedicure) and NO KANKLES! My shoes are too big and socks fit my feet.
2023 is starting off with a fight. It’s a good thing I am in a much better place with my legs cooperating (for the most part) and medication adjustments. I am up for the challenge.
No plans on this Saturday. It may be a day of rest, planning and reflection or maybe I will get out and get some fresh air - gonna play it by ear and see what happens.
Anyhoozle, what are your plans today?
Whatever, your day holds and whatever your plans may be, I wish you all a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one!
To all of my fellow MS Warriors, keep fighting the good fight. And to all MS Warrior Supporters, Thank You! Your support means everything.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
