Good Morning and Happy Holidays, Possums and Happy Friday. It’s the weekend. Mom arrives this afternoon and the rest of my “A Week of Stuff” is about to continue.
The worst thing remaining is the 2.5 hour MRI on Sunday. I know you are probably sick of hearing this but I just can’t stand that thing. Being shoved in that contraption for 2.5 hours is terrifying (if you don’t have anything that will knock you out) and painful (to lie still for that long). I typically wake up half way through. However, if it shows that the chemotherapy has done it’s job and I dow not have to have that (chemo) anymore) - it’s sooooooo worth it.
I have done it before so I can do it again. I have drugs (prescribed by my doctor). I just need to suck it up and do it. I have two days to prep. Today I am going to focus on laundry, cleaning out the fridge in preparation to be gone for three weeks, making my list of questions for my neurologist on Monday and finding an assistant that can start at the beginning of the new year.
Being home for the holidays is just a few sleeps away…and it’s always good for what ails you!
