Good Morning, Possums and Happy Sunday. I awoke to a flurry of texts regarding our fundraiser this evening benefitting the Resource Center Food Pantry. Everyone is getting ready, getting this and that list printed out, organizing t-shirts to sell commemorating the event and making sure raffle tickets are ready to sell.
100% of the proceeds from this event goes to purchasing food for the food pantry. To date we have donated $62,225.00 worth of food to them. I hope we can add another $5000 tonight. That would be great. Stay tuned…
I will be in the back in the office counting the funds as they come in so we can give the audience and patrons a ballpark figure of what has been raised. Back in the office is the perfect place for me. It would be very difficult to navigate the crowd in my wheelchair and I do not need to be around a super-huge crowd of people. I am one week away from my next chemotherapy and I do not want to delay that at all.
