My Life with Multiple Sclerosis100422

 Hellooooooooooooooo, Possuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuums!

Coming to you from the Celebrity Suites of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas. Today is Friday, November 4. It’s going to be a cloudy, rainy day today with a high of 78 degrees and thunderstorms later in the afternoon.

No birthdays on my calendar today.

Good Morning, Possums. Happy Friday- Happy FriYAY and Happy Weekend. It has finally arrived and none-too-soon.

Nothing but work going on today - and that’s plenty. I’m am OK with that. Tomorrow is a trip to the Boardroom for a little trim and shave and Sunday is church and my Softball Team’s Annual Fundraiser for the Food Pantry.

This particular fundraiser started in 2018 out of a request for a teammate’s 50th Birthday with all proceeds going to our Stock The Shelves fundraiser. So we came up with a theme, “A Train Wreck of Talent - Tina’s 50th Birthday Extravaganza” and we raised $2500 that year.

In 2019, with a theme of "Night of 100 Chers”. we raised $4000.

In 2020, like so many other events, COVID put a damper on things and we didn’t hold our Stock the Shelved fundraiser. But we came back strong last year.

In 2021, with a theme of “Ladies of the Eighties, we raised $5000.

This year, 2022, our theme is, “Madonnarama”. So, come out and support this year and let’s break last year’s fundraising numbers. The show starts at 7pm at the Round Up. There is a $10 ‘suggested’ donation at the door. 100% of the proceeds will be used to Stock the Shelved of the Resourced Center Food Pantry for the Holiday Season.

The Dallas Titan Softball Team has raised money food the Resource Center Food Pantry as well purchased and delivered the food since 2013 with a total of $59,225 worth of food and supplies delivered.

Although I can’t play, they still allow me to be part of the team, and help coordinate and plan these events. I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this team. Over the last ten years we have pushed donated and supported our community with almost $150,000 worth of food for the food pantry, school supplies for two local elementary schools and sending kids with cancer to summer camp.

Well, I need to get to work so I better get crack’in. n What do you have planned today?

Anyhoozle, I wish you and everyone around you a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
