Good Morning, Possums and Happy Tuesday. Today is the Midterms. All of television will be abuzz with whom this and what party controls that. This person cheated and that person lied (isn’t that all of them)? Why anyone would ever want to be a politician is beyond me….but I digress.
Today is also the first of my last three days at work before my leave of absence begins. Does that make me nervous? Yes! Do I fell guilty for leaving right now? Yes! Is it really the right decision? Absolutely!
I know that it is has become increasingly more difficult to focus on taming the beast that is Multiple Sclerosis and maintaining a professional work/life balance. However, FMLA was created for this reason - something I have recently come to learn and accept.
Tomorrow, I have an appointment with my neurologist as well as blood work and a urinalysis to prepare for chemotherapy on Monday. Hopefully, my numbers are high enough. But I need to focus on today and the things I need to accomplish, and finish or pass off to someone until I return to work in January.
