Good Morning and Happy Sunday. Time to prep for the week ahead and it looks like a busy one. My day yesterday was very busy if busy means being a complete slug. I caught up on all of my binge-worthy shows; She Hulk (hilarious), Handmaid’s Tale (at this point it’s bordering on repetitive. June sacrifices herself to rescue someone and bring down Gilead. We get it June. You’re a martyr. Now, please sing a different song next season) and my favorite streamer: The Great British Baking Show.
I just don’t get it - every week it’s the same thing; a signature challenge, a technical challenge and a showstopper challenge - always in that order and always with the same judges. And every week I MUST watch it. Maybe it’s because I love a schedule and I know what’s next. Maybe it’s because the bakers are so nice to each other and they help each other out and cheer each other on. Americans would be sabotaging each other, talking smack and watching as someone burns and gets kicked out of the tent (off the show).
Who can say?
Just so you know, it is not lost on me that I love the niceness and camaraderie of the Great British Baking Show as well as the catfights, smack-talk, gossip and overall bitchiness of the Real Housewives. What can I say? I’m a Renaissance Man!
OK, I’m going to get busy. Today is church, a Board Meeting, a little work and some more binge-watching.
