My Life with Multiple Sclerosis 090622

Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas. Today is Tuesday, September 6. It’s going to be a partly cloudy day in Dallas today with a high of 91.

Happy Birthday to:

Andrea Ronning
DuWee Engstrom
Kevin Jones
Lori Edstrom Liedy

Well, we are kicking off the work week on Terrific Tuesday this week. It’s only a four-day work week so I think we can handle it. Although, it has been my experience that four-day work weeks can seem like eight-day work weeks. They seem to drag on forever. But I have plenty to do this week so I am not sure that is going to be an issue.

FYI: The tires on my car are still fully inflated and their have been no signs of Freida Klaxton (that’s my name for Ms. Cranky Pants from Sunday night when the power was out - it’s a Golden Girls reference).

I got a new chair - a lift chair that helps me stand up and let me tell you, it’s just a little slice of heaven. I spent the majority of they day in it yesterday with my legs propped up - my feet and calves were starting get puffy and turn into kankles again…and that’s just NOT a good look.

It was just MS attempting to rear its ugly head again but it was nothing that elevating my feet and wearing these delightful compression sleeves (between my feet and knees) wouldn’t cure. It’s like a sock with no bottom or foot covering. My boss (who is going through chemo as well) says they are like Spanx for your legs!

As horrible as this sounds (but I mean it in the best possible way), going through chemo while my boss is going through chemo as well has been very comforting. (See, doesn’t that sound horrible)? It has been very nice for both of us. When one of us needs a hot minute to step away the other one can cover or field questions or what-have-you. She has been going through it much longer than I have, but I think we both stop that course of treatment around the same time. (no, she does not have MS). She has her own thing. When she told us, I told her she was just trying to steal my thunder. I mean honestly! LOL!

Lots of meeting today and a Spark Tank meeting tonight. I love awarding students and teachers money for things that will enhance their education or just allow them to do their jobs - even better than they already do. So I look forward to these presentations every month.

What’s on your schedule today?

Anyhoozle, I wish you and everyone around you a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And be thankful!

Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
