Happy Tuesday, or as I am calling it, Vacation Eve. I have so much to do today. From attending meetings at work, to finishing up my project at work (as much as possible). From picking up meds at the pharmacy to a doing a final load of laundry and packing and this afternoon I have PLEX. Not much to do today at all. LOL
Today, I celebrate 57 trips around the sun and I have so much to be thankful for - beginning with my wonderful parents and family back home - the blood relatives and the Creekwood family, Trinity family and friends. I am proud of my South Carolina roots - my foundation - I am just as proud of my Dallas foundation as well.
Being smacked down with Multiple Sclerosis at 54 has been a constant battle for 3 years. At one point, I think I spent more time in the hospital than I did in my new home. But that has made me think of all the experiences I have had, places I have visited, things I have accomplished and people I have met. I’d like to list them all for you. LOL! Just kidding. Can you imagine?
I am BLESSED beyond belief to have amazing people all round me. Thank you all for your love, prayers and support - not just for the last three years but for the last 57 years. Let’s go through each year. Ready? Again, just kidding.
MS has given me every reason to bitch and moan and complain but I just can’t seem to do it. Mind you, I admittedly say that MS sucks but I typically stop there and move on. I also yell at and fight with God once a week, but he can take it! Hey - I’m nowhere near perfect.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in my 57 trips around the sun and the trips yet to come. However, let’s be clear. I do NOT want 57 more. I am totally content knowing that I have lived over half my life.
Now...let's go to New York City!
