Well, it’s Monday morning and which means it’s time to kick off another work week. Today, I celebrate my last day of being a spry, spirited 56 year old in the body of an unapologetically sarcastic 95 year old who loves wearing socks with his sandals. Translation: tomorrow is my 57th birthday.
Yesterday is all a blur. I had my MRI yesterday afternoon. It started on time, at 4pm and I rolled up out of that hateful machine at 7:45pm. Three hours and 45 minutes…and I was awake the entire time. Those delightful little pills my neurologist prescribed did NOTHING! It must have been the adrenaline and the nerves that kept me awake. We are definitely going to have a conversation about that. I hope to hear my results today at some point.
Lots to do today - just a few meetings at work and more project preparation. Tonight I will begin packing for NYC. I was becoming a little anxious about my trip until last night. ‘The Besty Patrol’ picked me up from my MRI around 8pm and as I was whisked away from the hospital, I was quickly questioned about packing, the hotel, the airport, the theater and whatnot. Let me very clear about this: Anyone who does NOT think I am in the very best of hands going on this trip….well, you have no idea how wrong you are. I don’t even know what I was thinking. I got nothing but love for these fellas. And it’s going to be a fun trip.
Furthermore, all but one of my chemotherapy dates (who is going/staying with me), except one, have been filled courtesy of the Besty Patrol. But it’s the very last one - I’ll worry about that later.
Anyhoozle, What’s your Monday like? regardless, I wish you and everyone around you a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of nice people. If you can’t find one, be one!
