May 2022 is officially a memory and summer is here.
It’s a slow day at the spa but I have had an eventful visit so far. One that will keep you on the edge of your seat? Well, probably only if you’re me – LOL.
I checked in on Sunday. Apparently, I had an infection of some sorts (no idea what) and my body was attacking it rather than my MS. In turn, this allowed my MS symptoms to surface. Mine did so in the form of taking away my ability to walk.
An MRI was done and no new lesions (FANTASTIC) were found. But a few were extremely aggravated (AAARRRRGGGHHH). However, once the nuclear antibiotics (I am still on) kicked in, my legs began to function. Now, I have to learn to walk AGAIN. Sadly, you can’t just stand up and carry on as usual.
As things were getting better there was soon to be another hitch in my giddy-up. They ran a CT scan last night and found I have a blood clot in one of my lungs. So I am on IV blood thinners today and tomorrow (in pill form for the next few months). Tomorrow morning, I have plasma exchange (PLEX) and tomorrow afternoon, I have round #1 of Chemotherapy. I have blood drawn and tested every four hours, my pee is regularly tested and I am surprisingly in very good mood.
My body looks like a human pin cushion and this lovely fashionable gown I have to wear is, well just not my color - see pics below.
I am ready to go out for a cocktail or 4. Feel free to come meet me. But let’s drink at my place so I can walk home. HA!
The Baby-Doctors (residents) came in this morning and said I was going home after chemo tomorrow or Friday morning. But then the Daddy doctor came in and said I was going home Friday. TBD. I am ready to get home to my orchids and my succulents. I hope they are still alive.
I could use some prayers from my possums to get me well and get out of the hospital and back at my home. Plus Real Housewives of Beverly Hills comes on tonight and I hate I am going to miss it.
