My Life with Multiple Sclerosis 051722

Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Tuesday, May 17. It’s going to be a partly cloudy day in Big D today with a high of 94.

Happy Birthday to:

Joan Spooner Harris

It’s Tuesday and one day closer to the weekend. Yesterday was a good day (for a Monday). Just a few meetings in the morning and then PLEX in the afternoon. I’m telling you - getting this port has made a huge difference (for the better) in the way my PLEX is done. But it still wipes me out.

When I got home yesterday afternoon, I fell asleep on my couch for around two hours. I got up and had a little dinner and then fell asleep again for around two hours. I woke up and I had no idea what day it was. I looked at my watch (which told me nothing but the time and how my calories I had burned) and the tv was no help either. Since I usually have PLEX on Fridays, I thought, “Oh right, I had PLEX today - it’s Friday evening.”

So, for the next hour or so I watched a little television happily thinking that it was Friday night and I had two days to relax and get my strength back. (Sidebar - I found out why PLEX drains my energy so much, but that’s another story, never mind, anyway). Finally, the 10pm news came on and the anchor announced it was Monday, May 16. I do not think you can imagine my disappointment when I heard him speak those words and I realized I had/have PLEX twice this week and it was actually Monday night.

Mic-drop - Crushed - Elvis has left the building - Oh, the Horror -
Cheese and Crackers - Well, Sh*t - I just got spanked by Monday.

I realized and confirmed at that moment why I hate Mondays. After working through my disappointment, I laughed it off and went to bed.

So, it’s Tuesday. When I look back at yesterday, I try not to be bitter. Just a few meetings this morning and then work, work, work the rest of the afternoon.

What’s your day like?

Anyhoozle, make it a WONDERFUL day. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. Be one of them! And as always:

...wear a mask (when appropriate)
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.

Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
