Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Monday, May 9. It’s going to be a mostly sunny day inDallas today with a high of 93.
No birthdays on my calendar today.
Monday has arrived AGAIN and far too quickly for my taste. But not only that, mom and dad are heading back home today. I have been lucky enough to have them here with me for a week and a half including, 2 plasma exchanges, botox (in my legs, not my face), 4 dinners with wonderful friends, hanging on the couch watching television together and an unlimited number of trips to Lowe’s. I don’t get this much time with them very often and I have loved every minute.
I know they didn’t get to see everyone they wanted to, but time would not allow it. But have no fear, they will be back around August/September when I start my second and final round of my treatment medication (maybe sooner depending on the amount of chemotherapy I will be getting before then).
Still, they need to get back to their lives, family and friends, other responsibilities and especially that beautiful great grandbaby. I swear, that kid is the happiest baby I have ever seen (see pic below). I still see finger paint and Baby’s First Drum Set in her future - from her wonderful (great) Uncle Andy.
And I need to get to work. The deadline for my biggest project of the year is fast-approaching. I cannot wait until it is complete.
So let’s get this week going and knock it out. The next weekend is only 5 days away. HAPPY MONDAY!
