It’s Saturday. The weekend is here. And not just any weekend - it’s Super Bowl weekend. And it’s the second week of the Olympics. OK, OK. I don’t really care about the olympics. I should, but I don’t. And as for the Super Bowl, I don’t really have a dog in that fight either (even though everyone tells me to pull for the Bengals).
A big reason to watch the Super bowl is if you are watching it at someone’s home - the friends, the fellowship, the food and beer everyone brings - that’s the real fun, until you have to clean up - LOL
But the main reasons to watch the Super Bowl are:
The game itself (if you have a dog in the fight)
The halftime show performers
The commercials/movie trailers
I don’t really care about the game
I don’t really care about the halftime show performers (Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem)
I can watch the commercials/movie trailers online the next day without having to sit through the entire game.
So why do I need to watch the Super Bowl?
Mom and Dad will be arriving about half way through the game anyway so we will be getting them settled in and relax for a bit. That’s my Super Bowl - and I have already won.
I think my PLEX yesterday went well and my Multiple Sclerosis will be held at bay for another week. I seem to be walking a bit better, though I haven’t walked too much so far this morning. They had to go in through both arms again yesterday, however, they got the catheter in my chest functioning again so next week will be easy-peasy - no needles and no blood (outside of my body).
It’s going to be a cloudy, cold day in Dallas today. It was 80 yesterday and the high today is 45. We may even get a tiny bit of rain. I’m making a trip to the Boardroom this morning, and I’m getting claws and hooves tended to (mani/pedi) as well.
What’s on your schedule today/the weekend?
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
