No birthdays in my calendar today.
Well, it’s Hump Day. We have made it half way through the week, And our winter weather event has been upgraded from a winter storm watch to a winter storm warning. Looks like it is actually going to happen. It was 73 degrees yesterday and they high tomorrow is 25. In my area they are calling for at least a half an inch of ice and up to three inches of snow. I’m just hoping the grid holds, the electricity / heat stays on and no pipes burst.
MS does NOT like cold weather so I will be staying inside. I am listening to the news in the background and they are already calling for power outages. Cheese and Crackers - just go ahead and tell me my power is going to go out.
Perhaps I should go ahead and check into my suite on the Celebrity Wing of the UT Southwestern Spa and Resort/ until this passes. They have power. I get excellent care. Doctors and Nurses are a mere feet away. They have heat, electricity, decent cable, the interwebs, a bathroom and shower and three meals a day. And sadly, I have already met my deductible. Oh, I wouldn’t do that. I’ll be fine here……as long as my power stays on.
I have plenty to do at work - five meetings today and work in between and physical therapy around 6:30am. Right now, I need more coffee.
