No birthdays on my calendar today.
And just like that…it’s the weekend. My memory from yesterday is kind of fuzzy. I went in to get my normal PLEX (plasma exchange) but I was in for so much more.
The port in my chest was no bueno so they did a procedure (I didn’t feel a thing) to clear whatever may be blocking it. That did not work so, like last week, they did the arm-thing again except this time they used both arms - the left arm was out and the right arm was in.
I didn’t think about it at the time, but I agree that the stress of the situation wore me out. As soon as we began, I fell asleep and when I got home, I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up and made it to bed and woke up around 6am. That really took a toll me.
However, I do remember seeing all my nurse friends that came by to see me while everything was getting set up: Christopher, Bridgette, Anthony, Nancy, Mimi, Marty, Laura Leigh - glad they made it by before I passed out. Those nurses are so nice to me.
Oh the joys and blessings of multiple sclerosis.
It’s going to be a nice day in Dallas today - sunny with a high of 68. But that’s just a tease before the temps drop. The low of 28 degrees on Wednesday night with a “wintry mix” in the forecast will have the grocery stores cleaned out and everyone anticipating the power grid failing…….again.
