No birthdays only calendar today - but HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my brother and sister-in-law - Chris and Kim Jones - 31 years (I think)!
Today is National Desseret Day! Celebrated by way of the local bakery, grandma’s house or chocolate shop, desserts include candies, pies, ice cream, fruits, cookies, pastries, cobblers, and donuts, too.
This is an excellent day to order dessert first! Whether you go out to your favorite bakery or whip up something delicious at home, share your celebrations with others. Give a shout out to your favorite baker or share your go-to recipe. What’s your favorite dessert? Pie, cake, or something in between?

HAPPY NATIONAL DESSERT DAY!
It looks to be a warm, cloudy day in Big D today AND it’s Friday EVE! Actually, today is my Friday, but I digress. I had another successful day in the office yesterday. I got my office set up again and got everything reconnected (thanks Dave and Carla in IT). But I have to tell you, going in for half days really knocks the wind out of my sails. It’s going to be a slow progression to full days in the office.
I only have a few meetings today and I am volunteering at the clinic this afternoon / evening - sounds like a good day to me.
