Good Morning from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Sunday, October 10.
No birthdays on my calendar today.
Today is National Clergy Appreciation Day and it reminds us to recognize the work of ministers, pastors, and priests in the United States. This national day also falls in National Clergy Month, which is observed each October.
Many congregations take up a special offering on this day to bless their pastors. Others use the entire month of October to find different means to bless the leaders with meals, gifts, and even paid vacations.
I am so blessed and grateful for my church leadership (past and present) and leadership of other churches I know are in good hands:
Justin Hancock
The clergy at my church have been through my journey with Multiple Sclerosis - from diagnosis to today - every step - every hospital stay - every set back - every relapse - every celebration - every treatment plan. They have been there with me - holding my hand and lifting me up in prayer.
I was going to say, “my church clergy kicks your church clergy’s *ss” but that’s just wrong, childish and inappropriate…..so I will just think it instead.
Thank you for all you do! You are the ABSOLUTE BEST!
HAPPY CLERGY APPRECIATION DAY!!!

What do you have planned today?
Come join us for church this morning at 11am at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church (or online on Facebook Live). All are welcome at OLUMC.
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
