Ah, the perfect cup of java. According to an expert cupper (a professional coffee taster), there are four components of a perfect cup: aroma, body, acidity, and flavor.
Personally, and no offense to all of the ’cuppers’ out there, I could give a flip about the four components of coffee. Just give it to me HOT.
From the moment a coffee lover opens a fresh bag of coffee beans, the aroma beckons - it percolates the senses. Even those who don’t drink coffee tend to enjoy the fragrance roasted beans cast. But how could you not? It’s pure heaven.

Today is also Hump Day - we made it half way through the work week. It’s going to be a (mostly) cloudy day in Dallas today. I will be spending my morning at the UT Southwestern Spa and Resort having a plasma exchange. Nothing says, “Happy Hump Day” like being hooked up to a human slurpee machine for a few hours while your plasma is drained from your body and replaced with clean, fresh, frozen plasma. Easy-Peasy.
After that, it’s right back home to work. I have another big project due tomorrow. It is pretty much done, I just need to put all of the pieces together and make sure it works and looks / sounds good.
