My Life with Multiple Sclerosis 080924

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
Possuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuums!

LIKE & SHARE THIS POST, PLEASE!

Coming to you from the Celebrity Suites of the Wyndemere at Turtle Creek Condominiums in Dallas, Texas, today is Friday, August 9, 2024. It’s going to be a mostly sunny with a high of 93 degrees.

No birthdays on my calendar today.

Good Morning, Possums and Happy Friday, Happy FriYAY and TGIF! Tis the weekend. Are you ready?

I had a great night at the theater last night with my Best Gal Pal, @Sallie . We attended a performance of the Musical, Funny Girl, made famous by Barbra Streisand.

I saw Funny Girl a few years ago on Broadway. And while I was entertained, I was not blown away. The night we saw the show, we were pleasantly surprised with the performance of the understudy that night - she was wonderful. Even the ushers told us (upon leaving the theater) that we were there on a good night because the understudy performed.

Cut to last night - I had no expectations. I even perused the Playbill to see if the show had any teeth (performers with some experience) - and it did. The show started and began with an Overture. Shows these days rarely start with an overture playing the central theme of some of some of the more popular songs from the show. That’s one sure-fire way to hook me from the start. I just love that.

As for the rest of the show, I just have to say that I was incredibly surprised and entertained by every performance. The lead was delightful and could really sing. But the supporting cast were the real stars for me. They really brought it and left it all on the floor. It was like night and day from the performance I saw on Broadway and it was if I saw a completely different musical.

If you get a chance, go see Funny Girl at the Music Hall at Fair Park. It’s a solid show and some good entertainment.
