Good Morning, Dearest Gentle Possums and Happy Sunday. I hope you have had an enjoyable weekend / long weekend / 4th of July weekend. Sadly, it’s time to gear up and prepare for the week ahead. However, we should be appreciative and/or thankful for the time away from work (or whatever).
GENERAL UPDATE
Again, I hope your weekend was fantastic. Other than laundry, starting the dishwasher and folding laundry, I didn’t do a great deal. Dallas has been bit of a ghost town. Now, I did make my grocery list, so that occupied 15 minutes, but other than that….squat!
However, the world of entertainment is about to offer two outstanding series - it’s a veritable cornucopia of cable delights. #1) Tonight- it finally arrives - it’s SHARK WEEK on the Discovery Channel. Yes, Shark Week is back and hosted by John Cena - one of two men who’ve successfully made the transition from wrestling to acting (the other being the Rock).
While I do enjoy Shark Week (regardless of whom it is hosted by), after the second or third night, I have had enough. Sorry, Discovery Channel.
#2) This one, too, makes its triumphant return for the month July. You guessed it. On (one of) the Hallmark’s Channels - Christmas in July began a week (or so) ago. They have even slid in a few NEW holiday made-for-television movies to melt your heart and stir your appetite for candy, cocoa, snowmen and Santa. For me, it’s hard get swept up in the Holiday season when it’s over 100 degrees outside. But I can appreciate where they are coming from. Besides, it’s only 171 days in Christmas.

Planning for Season TWO is under way and will return the week of September 9.

MEDICALLY SPEAKING
I am doing well. I still need to hydrate a great deal more than I do. I have cut back on coffee considerably because, sadly, it dehydrates you.
Also, I need to email my neurologist this afternoon. I have been struggling with a constant high-pitched ringing in my left ear - nerve damage related to my MS. It is not there all the time, but when it is, it is mind-numbing. It was not piercing my skull when I met with her a week ago, so I completely forgot about it. But this weekend, it has been everso present and quite annoying.
SOCIAL SECURITY
Still waiting on a decision on the Supplemental SS. This one is still pending, but according to them, I should have an answer by this Wednesday.
KANKLE NEWS
I have NO kankles thanks, in part, to my delightful and stylish compression leg-sleeves and socks.
I know you’re jealous (compression leg-sleeves and socks)! LOL
Anyhoozle, that’s all I have for today, Possums. Time for me to get some things done. What’s on your calendar? I hope you all have a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one!
