Good Afternoon, Possums and Happy Saturday, and HAPPY WEEKEND.
I can’t believe it’s the weekend and how time has flown by since mom and dad arrived. Their visit is half way over. Times always goes by so quickly when they are here or when go home. I don’t much care for that except love every minute of it.
Last night, my best gal pal (Sallie Ann Plaxico) and I went to see Alan Cummings in his one man show, “Alan Cummings is Not Acting His Age”. It was an ntimate and entertaining show. He told amusing and funny stories of his encounters and friendships with many celebrities (Florence Henderson, Sean Connery, Emma Stone, Jessica Lange and Kristin Chenoweth) on the set of TV and films as well as just hanging out with them.
The songs he sang were good, although he is not a very strong singer. He can carry a tune, but he’s no Michael Cerveris or Howard McGillin (great broadway singers). Still, it was enjoyable, entertaining and I’d see it again.
It is supposed to head to Broadway, but I don’t think it’s ready for the main stem. Although, with his fan base, it could happen. We shall see.
Before the show started, this guy came up to us and said, “OMG - Dallas’ newest podcasters” - We were both shocked and caught off-guard. He said he liked our little dog and pony show, chatted for a minute and went on to his seat. That was kinda exciting!
Not sure what the day holds for us but I know there are things we need to take care of.
