Good Morning, Possums and Happy Tuesday. I hope your week is going well. It was 94 degrees here yesterday….and it’s FEBRUARY! No worries, the high on Thursday is 50. WTH?
We had a great podcast last night. Author (and friend) Kevin Jones joined us for the show. We discussed his book and had our usual segments as well. I am editing the recording today and hope to have it available for consumption tomorrow.
After my plasma exchange on Thursday, I am free of all medical appointments for two whole weeks. Am I excited about that? YES! Mom and Dad arrive next Tuesday and they will be here for a week. Am I excited about that? YES!! They will get to see the progress I have made since having shingles for so long.
On Friday, March 1, I will begin my annual fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis. This disease has altered the course of my life and it has affected my family and my friends. I wouldn’t say that it has made my life hell, but it has a been very challenging. I have tried my hardest not to complain about it, but to approach each setback as just another bump in the road that I need to get over. There are people far worse off than I am.
This disease is awful. I know how lucky I am to have the friends and family I have - to have accomplished what I have accomplished and blessed to have had the experiences I have had before MS reared its ugly head.
Over the past three years I have raised a total of $36,000. Let’s add another ten-fifteen thousand to that this. I hope I can count on your support. Let’s find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
