Good Morning, Possums and Happy Wednesday and Happy Hump Day. We made it half way through the week. January comes to a close today as well. January always seems like the longest month (to me) but it has flown by.
Yesterday was a busy day. I had an appointment with an infectious disease doctor at UT Southwest. I do not hatve one nor was I inquiring about getting one. My neurologist sent me there as a precaution to have this last shingles area taking its time clearing up. But it’s all good. No new meds. It will heal. It’s just taking its time. Also, this weekend, I will be getting my pneumonia vaccine - flu last weekend, pneumonia vaccine this weekend and my first shingles vaccine the following weekend. Then, it will be February - LOL.
I spent an hour and half on the phone yesterday with insurance to straighten something out (not on my end). They needed a phone number of a provider - AN HOUR AND A HALF. I was on hold for most of it.
Health insurance is already a racket as is the prescription drug industry and anything Dr. Oz and Oprah Winfrey are involved with. We need a Drug and Health Insurance Czar and someone to regulate Oprah. I don’t really care about Dr, Oz! Oprah introduced him to the world so maybe he should be her responsibility. He’s more an annoyance now.
No appointments today - the house keeper is coming this morning and I need to finish editing episode #2 of our podcast. It should be out this evening.
Tomorrow, I have occupational and physical therapy in the morning and PLEX (plasma exchange) tomorrow afternoon. Friday will be spent resting and recovering from Thursday.
