Good Morning, Possums and Happy Sunday. Time get ready to start a new week. Are you ready?
The Gala on Friday night was GREAT! We all had a good time and over $600,000 was raised for the Irving Schools Foundation and the money from the silent auction items has not been added yet, so I’l give you an actual total soon.
The money from the Gala goes to fund all of the programs for students/teachers we provide/support - check it out. It’s our biggest fundraiser for the year.

Re-entering society is exhausting. I slept some the day yesterday. I was out until after midnight on Friday night but it was fun and worth it. Thank you, Shannon Brown and Timothy Thomas
I am still figuring out the best way to use my assistants and on what day sneed therm. I have determined that I do not them five days a week. That’s too much. I am thinking about Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Or maybe it changes each week (for this month) until I come back from the holidays and get a set schedule.
I have had to quit watching the news again. Wars, politics -it’s just too depressing. I have started looking for new volunteer opportunities that would begin in January. I have 13 years under my belt at the clinic, but it’s time to move on - I have moved on.
I thought about returning to the Performing Arts Center, so I may do that. I will be looking into some of our programs the Irving Schools Foundation offers. There are many opportunities there as well. Hope to And my Titans - I haven’t been able to help them as much this year, so I hope to get back to them as well.

And then, there is our podcast. I am hopeful that it will take off as well. It has been fun putting it together with my cohosts and I am sure it will morph its way into a tight, fun program as we get into a groove. It takes a great deal of time as well.
I think I am anxious to have more structure in joy life. I used to be very structured but MS, and more recently the shingles have tossed all of that out of the window.
So 2024, it’s time to take my life back and get back to me.
