Coming to you from the Celebrity Suites of the Wyndemere Condominiums at Turtle Creek. Today is Sunday, November 5 and the high temperature is going to be 79 degrees today. Back to warm weather here in Dallas. I don’t get it. It’s 40 degrees when I returned last Sunday and almost 80 degrees today.

Good Afternoon, Possums and Happy Sunday.
I sure do hope you all have had a great weekend. It’s been a quiet weekend for me. After PLEX on Friday, I was wiped out. I forget how draining that procedure is. I slept off and on most of the day yesterday but today is the start of a brand new week.
I have occupational therapy and PLEX this week and a Board committee meeting - so it’s a light week. I’m waiting on my referral to go through before physical therapy can start. I have a detailed list of things my assistant(s) can tackle beginning with rearranging my pantry (so I can reach everything) and organizing my office/podcast studio. (LOL). I need to de-clutter.
I was doing a little window shopping online this morning and started getting a little down because I could not find any dress shoes for individuals that may have some difficulty dressing (at one time or another) or any pants that don’t look like joggers. I was trying to find something nice I can wear to see/meet Judy Kuhn in New York City at the end of the month. No luck - well, that’s not true. I have a shirt on hold, but I’m not too sure about it just yet.
The longer I looked and as many times as I modified my search criteria…nothing.
About an hour into disappointing myself, I realized I was being a jackass. I may not have a super-nice or expensive outfit to see/meet Judy Kuhn, but she doesn’t care. She knows I have MS - we have had that discussion before. Also, I am going to New York City for the holidays with my Besties. I am going to see three shows, hang out with a childhood friend (and former star of the Phantom of the Opera) and who knows what else we are going to do.
So again, about an hour into disappointing myself, I called myself a jackass and realized I have NOTHING to be disappointed over. Sometimes, as I think we all can do, I get lost and swept up in what I think I want, rather than what it is I really need. I lost my perspective, but luckily, it only took an hour for me to gain it back.
Looking at things closely and thinking things through - two things I need to concentrate on in 2024.

SSA Case Status - 40% Complete
Supplemental SSA - 31% Complete
Kankle News - I have two feet and no kankles.
Wheelchair news - my wheelchair wheels have lights. It is done.
Podcast - I am sending out the outline for our first podcast this week. Time to start prepping for our first recording.
