My Life with Multiple Sclerosis 091523

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
Possuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuums!

Coming to you from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums at Turtle Creek. Today is Friday, September 14 and the high temperature is going to be 81 degrees and partly cloudy. I am digging this weather.

Happy Belated Birthday to:

Pam Brown
Carol Margo Stanners
Barry Newkirk
Doug Aguiar

Happy Birthday to:

Ian Ferguson
Jonah Villegas

Good Morning, Possums and Happy Friday / FriYAY and TGIF. And the weather…isn’t this fantastic?

Things are quiet here in the celebrity suite. I have had to make breakfast for myself - again (I know - First World problem). But Bud Jones makes a mean breakfast. It’s hard not to get used to that.

In keeping with documenting my MS journey to share with anyone in my position (and I know they are out there), here we go:

Having MS keeps me fairly sedentary. Having MS and Shingles makes me sedentary and a complete A-hole. I need to move, walk - something! Losing this lard would make it a great deal easier for me to be mobile.)

Unfortunately, no Dr. worth his/her/their (we’ll get into that pronoun stuff later) salt will operate on me because of the MS and because of the blood clots I had last summer. So I found this doctor who lost his license to practice that will do it for me for free - LOL - Just Kidding!

I am having the lard laser-heat-melted off. Yesterday was my first session. It was simple / easy. It more-or-less felt like I was in a tanning bed for 30 minutes. The only down side is having to wear this compression garment (shirt) for the next 72 hours. But the jokes on the technician, I wore shirts tighter than this 20 years ago when we all went out dancing on the weekends. Of course back then, I was in GREAT shape. And I had some testosterone and a waistline.

My next session is next Thursday. I will get measured and see how much I have lost in a week and get in the ‘tanning bed’ for another 30 minutes. Stay tuned for results…

My Friday will be spent canceling and rescheduling appointments I cannot go to because of these delightful shingles. If it wasn’t’t for the excruciating pain. You might never know they were there.

In other news:

Wheelchair Status -Awaiting arrival. My new wheelchair is scheduled to arrive at my casa on 10/4.

SSA Case Status - Up from 23% to 27% Complete
Supplemental SSA - Up from 16% to 18% Complete

Kankle News - I have two - REGULAR FEET, for now, but I am not going to hold my breath

Podcast - still planning and scheduling.

Anyhoozle, that’s all I have for today. I hope you all have a GREAT day!

Whatever your day holds and whatever your plans may be, I wish you all a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one!

To all of my fellow MS Warriors, keep fighting the good fight. And to all MS Warrior Supporters, Thank You! Your support means everything.

Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
