Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
Possuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuums!
Coming to you from the Celebrity Suites of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas. Today is Friday, May 19. It’s going to be a sunny day in Dallas with a high of around 90 degrees.
No birthdays on my calendar today.
Good Evening, Possums and Happy Friday and Happy Weekend. It’s been nice outside all day today, but the threat of stormy weather is looming.
Its been a busy day thus far. Pop cooked breakfast and it was delicious, then I went to the Boardroom for a shave and a polish. Mom and Dad ran a few errands.
This afternoon we have not been as productive but it is Friday and that’s OK. I got another interview. It’s for a contract position at Toyota. I am not really looking for a contract job, but I’m talking to them next week.
OK…..I’m done with Harry and Yoko (Megan). They weren’t chased in INDY 500 fashion through New York City. I think they are both mental; well, he his mental and she is simply a manipulative *&^#@!(my opinion). They weren’t chased. Thy were going from point A to Point B in New York City. That’s it! Geez!
And another thing…I am soooo tired of seeing commercials for Lume deodorant - the new water based ‘thing’ that goes on your under arms, under boob, thigh fold, butt crack and feet (that’s what the commercial says). Hand to God - a commercial for that stuff is on every 5 minutes. I don’t care if it does work for up to 72 hours. I’m sticking with my ozone destroying aerosol can. Give me those air polluting chemicals that make me cough as I put it on each and every morning — it’s what God intended.
OK - so last night I saw Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird. And what a wonderful night at the theater, it was.
As the play (not a musical) began, I was a little worried about southern accents. Sooooooo many actors get them wrong and over compensate. For example, Brenda Lee Johnson was wrong. Suzanne Sugarbaker was right (my opinion). But these were spot on. There are so many kinds of southern accents, but these actors knew from whence they speak.
As soon as Jon Boy Walton (aka Richard Thomas) walked onto the stage, I completely forgot he was John Boy Walton. He stills looks like him and all, but he was Atticus Finch if he was anyone. He embodied everything Atticus was and stood for and played the part to a T.
Scout is by far my favorite character. She is equal parts.plucky, smart, courageous and a tiny bit smart ass.
For two and a half hours I was at their mercy - embedded in their lives - and hoping the good guy would get saved, even though I knew he would’t.
FYI: the woman in the cast playing the role of Mrs. DuBose played the role of Scout in the movie. For Reals.
Treat yourself to Harper Lee’s ‘To Kill a Mockingbird.’ It’s a night at the theater you won’t forget and hate you missed.
OK…that’s enough from me for today. Gotta look and apply for some jobs!
Anyhoozle, what are your plans today?
Whatever your day holds and whatever your plans may be, I wish you all a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one!
