Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suites of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas and it’s Hump Day. We made it half way through the week. The dreaded MRI is over and I hope to not see that beast again for a long time.
When I was diagnosed with MS 4 years ago, I had no idea how much my life would change. I never imagined my daily tasks would become daily challenges - challenges that would never be the same each day. I never thought I would be in a wheelchair. And most of all, I never thought I would have to surrender much of my independence. That’s the one that stung the most.
Fortunately, for me, my support system here in Dallas and at home in SC is absolutely phenomenal. I am beyond blessed to have all of these people in my life, looking out for me, caring for me and praying for me. I couldn’t do all of this without each and every one of them.
However, MS still sucks and we need a cure. In 2021, I began raising money (getting sponsors) for Walk MS. This year the walk will be held on April 15 - one month from today. In 2022, I raised $12,787 and was in #1 fundraiser in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. In 2022, I raised $13,306 and I was the #2 fundraiser in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex — and it was all thanks to you and your generosity.
