No birthdays on my calendar today.

Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suites of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas and it’s Hump Day. We made it half way through the week.

Can you believe it? Today is March 1 and February is but a faint whisper. And it has been so busy. I don’t see it slowing down any time soon. Work projects are piling up and softball starts this week as well.

On the MS front, I have been on a roller coaster. Just as soon as I am feeling pretty well, things start getting in the way of reaching some sort of remission (or at least the ability to function well on a daily basis). My feet are still a bit puffy and my legs are a bit stiff so my doctor suggested a round of Plasma exchange (PLEX) which I had yesterday. I am going to have another round in two weeks and then it will be monthly after that.

I have also had a great deal of eye pain. So, to help with all of this nonsense, I am back on steroids - a pretty high dose - for the next month or so. I hope this will help will all of these issues.

Mom and Dad arrive in another week and a half. They will be here for my next round of PLEX as well as my MRI. I’ve been dreading that MRI for two months, but I have been prescribed some medication to help me get through it - LOL

There is never a dull moment when Multiple Sclerosis is involved. We need a cure. The last two years I have raised money for a cure for MS. In 2021, I raised over $11,000 and was the #1 fundraiser in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

In 2022, I raised over $12,000 and was the #2 fundraiser in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. I would like to add at least another $10,000 or $15,000 to my fundraising total, if possible, to find a cure for this disease.

I try my very best not to complain about my MS, however, I have the best support system here in Dallas, at home in SC and all over the place. I wish everyone had the support system I have, but they don’t - which is why we need a cure and funds for programs to help those that need it. (Side bar - Thanks to Tim Thomas and Shannon Brown for getting then bulbs and changing the lights in my kitchen. I have light again).

So - having said all of that, I hope I can count on your support to reach my goal to help put an end to Multiple Sclerosis. Stay tuned for details.

Anyhoozle, what are your plans today?

Whatever, your day holds and whatever your plans may be, I wish you all a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one!

To all of my fellow MS Warriors, keep fighting the good fight. And to all MS Warrior Supporters, Thank You! Your support means everything.

Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
